Schenectady County celebrates rebuilding efforts 1 year after Irene

ROTTERDAM JUNCTION, N.Y. - On Wednesday night, Schenectady County will be remembering Tropical Storms Irene and Lee and marking the one year of recovery and restoration in the area.

 

The remembrance is sponsored by the Schenectady County Historical Society, Schenectady Public Library, and the flood recovery coalition of Schenectady County, celebrating 200 homes in the county that have been rebuilt.

The event will run from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mabee Farm, located at 1080 Main Street in Rotterdam Junction.
