
EASTON, N.Y. - A Schenectady man is accused of passing fake twenty dollar bills to three different vendors at the Washington County Fair on Friday.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office has arrested 29-year-old Michael Schrom after they say he admitted to bringing three counterfeit twenties to the fair and passing them. Deputies say Schrom denied making them or saying who he obtained the fake bills from.
Schrom is charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st-degree, a felony. He was arraigned in the Town of Easton Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
