TROY, NY - At approx. 1:30 p.m. today, Troy Police were dispatched to Building 4 of the Taylor Apartments (River Street at the base of the Congress Street bridge) for a report of a male subject deceased in the stairwell between the first and second floors. At this time, the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim in the case is believed to have been subject to gunshot wound(s). Final cause and nature of death will be confirmed via autopsy tomorrow at Albany Medical Center. The victim is a 38 year old male. Identification is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
