CROWN POINT, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they've launched a search in the Adirondacks for a 45-year-old man who was last seen at his family's cottage.

State Police say Keith Gil was last seen early Sunday morning at Loon Lake in Chestertown in Warren County. Trooper say his 1999 BMW with Pennsylvania license plates was located Monday on a road in the town of Crown Point, about 30 miles away on Lake Champlain in neighboring Essex County.

Troopers, state forest rangers, sheriff's deputies and local police and fire departments searched the area Thursday and plan to resume the search Friday.

The Press-Republican of Plattsburgh reports that Gil lives in Brussels, Belgium and also has ties to Bryn Mawr (brihn mahr), Pa. He's a 1985 graduate of North Warren High School in Chestertown.
