BENNINGTON, VT - The Vermont State Police, along with local police and sheriff departments, will be conducting roadside sobriety checkpoints and pro-active motor vehicle patrols in the Bennington County area during the up-coming Labor Day holiday.
Sobriety check points will occur throughout the weeks of August 27th and September 3rd in conjunction with nationwide traffic safety campaigns.
Checkpoints and saturation patrols are held to remove impaired operators from the roadway and make the roads safer for everyone. There are numerous alternatives to drinking and driving available, and utilizing them will help ensure that everyone can have a safe holiday.
