TROY, N.Y.---There's a lot of unrest in one Troy neighborhood, as police continue to investigate suspicious fires in the area.
A community meeting was held at the Missing Link Church on Sixth Avenue with the goal of making people feel safe in the meantime, and to discuss what they can do as residents to make that happen.
Dozens of concerned residents had their voices heard Monday night, many of whom live in north central Troy, where three fires were set in a month's time, the most recent destroying four homes.
Shatana Suarez lives in the vicinity of the 6th Avenue fires and says she has constant anxiety.
The community meeting, held at Pastor Willie Bacote's Missing Link Church gave people a chance to talk about their fears, with Troy's police chief listening.
Chief John Tedesco says while the investigation is ongoing, he expects a resolution very soon. He says the community must continue to partner with the police department, in terms of coming forward with information about the suspicious fires.
Tedesco says a lot of additional resources are being placed in the area to prevent another fire.
