
HOOSICK, N.Y. - New York State Police in Brunswick investigated an accident involving three motorcycles on Route 7 in the Town of Hoosick on Saturday.
Police say the crash occurred around 4 p.m. involving three motorcycles who were traveling together westbound on Route 7. The investigation determined that one motorcycle, driven by 45-year-old Paul Bulson, attempted to pass the lead motorcycle and while doing so, made contact which caused both motorcycle operators to looe control, overturn, and strike the guide rails on the south side of the roadway.
Bulson was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with severe trauma to his right leg. His passenger, 51-year-old Elaine Young, of Troy, was also airlifted to Albany Medical Center for severe trauma to her right arm and right foot.
The lead motorcycle and its occupants, 39-year-old Matthew Snyder and 25-year-old Sarah Angrisano, came to rest on the roadway and
the passing motorcycle came to rest at the bottom of an embankment. Both occupants were transported to Samaritan Hospital for treatment of severe abrasions from the pavement.
The
third motorcycle struck the lead motorcycle, which was lying in the
roadway and overturned. The driver of the third motorcycle, 51-year-old Sean Simm, of Troy, was transported to Saratoga Hospital for severe abrasions.
