STOCKPORT, N.Y. - A family of four is left homeless Monday after a fire tore through their Columbia County home.
The fire broke out at the Columbia Villa Mobile Home Park in the town of Stockport just after 1:00 a.m. Monday morning.
State police say the fire began in a shed spreading to one mobile home, then the heat of the fire melted the siding off an adjacent home.
One female resident was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. She is said to be in stable condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
