Large turnout for Battle Day celebrations in Bennington

BENNINGTON, Vt. - Crowds lined the streets in Bennington, Vermont Sunday afternoon for the annual Battle Day Parade celebrations.

The Battle Day festivities honor first responders, active military members, and veterans.

The parade highlighted the day featuring marching bands, fire trucks and military vehicles. Parade watchers say the event helps to bring the community together.

Battle Day is Vermont's only state holiday.
