Thruway's eastbound lanes reopen after crash

Posted: Updated:

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say all three eastbound lanes of the Thruway just outside Albany are open again after being shut down by a rush-hour crash.

Sgt. David Malone says a camper being towed by a pickup truck rolled over Thursday morning, initially blocking all three lanes on Interstate 90's eastbound side. The right and center lanes were reopened soon after the crash but the left lane remained closed for about two hours.

The crash occurred around 8:45 a.m. just before the Exit 24 off-ramp, around a half-mile from the Albany city limits in the suburban town of Guilderland.

Malone says no one was injured. He says additional information on the crash aren't immediately available.

The crash snarled the morning commute for motorists heading into Albany and stop-and-go traffic was reported late Thursday morning.
