NASSAU, N.Y. - State police say a Stephentown man has been arrested after he allegedly kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from her home on State Route 20.
Police say an investigation revealed 24-year-old Sean Conklin broke into his ex-girlfriend's home around noon on Tuesday and
during a verbal altercation, forced her into the
vehicle he was operating and headed east on State Route 20.
Police were notified the incident was taking place and were given a description of the vehicle, which led to officers in Massachusetts finding Conklin stopped near Pittsfield.
Conklin was arrested at the scene of the vehicle
stop by Massachusetts Troopers as a fugitive from justice and
transferred to the Berkshire County Correctional Facility to await
extradition to New York.
He is charged with Kidnapping 2nd-degree, Burglary 2nd-degree, and Criminal Contempt 1st-degree, all felonies.
