Ticonderoga meeting explores history, challenges

FORT TICONDEROGA, N.Y. (AP) - Fort Ticonderoga is hosting a conference about the history and ecology of its surrounding region, particularly Lake George and Lake Champlain.

Speakers will discuss topics as diverse as the "Sunken Fleet" of French and Indian War-era ships, the work of photographer and artist Seneca Ray Stoddard, the geological history of the area and the current threat from invasive species.
