TROY, NY – A male was shot in the hand in Troy early Friday morning.
The incident happened at 1:35 a.m. as the 19-year-old male victim was walking out the door of 606 Fourth Street.
Police say the victim was confronted by two suspects and one of the suspects began shooting at the male. Several shots were fired and the victim was struck once in the hand.
The victim was transported to Albany Medical Center with a non-life threatening hand injury.
Police say there were several people were outside the front stoop of the residence and adjacent buildings when the incident happened.
The suspects fled on foot onto Fourth Street to St. Joseph's Street. The shooter is described as black male, early twenties, 5'5" tall, 130 pounds, black hat, shorts, dark tee shirt, and dark shoes. The accomplice's gender is unknown but was described as white, small build, 20-years of age, long pants, and wearing a gray hoodie overhead.
Police are investigating the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
