TROY, NY – A man was sent to the hospital after a shooting in Troy on Friday afternoon.
Police received calls at 1:40 p.m. for multiple shots fired at 1208 Sausse Avenue.
Upon arrival, police located one male with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The victim was transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. No one else was injured.
Investigation reveals two suspects entered an apartment and one suspect displayed a handgun and fired multiple shots at the victim.
Troy Police Captain John Cooney says several people, including children, were in the residence and in the vicinity at the time.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot. One suspect went west on Sausse and the other went south on Oakwood.
Police are not commenting on a possible motive or if the incident is related to another shooting that happened in Troy on Friday.
