Mariano Rivera to appear at Saratoga Race Course

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - Major league baseball player Mariano Rivera will visit the Saratoga Race Course on Friday.

The third race, scheduled to post shortly after 2:00 p.m., will be named "The Spa Welcomes Mo!"

Rivera will appear in the winner's circle to address the crowd and present the trophy for the race named after him.

Later, a fundraiser will be held at Siro's Trattoria to benefit the Mariano Rivera Foundation. The event is closed to the public and to the media.

Rivera is a 12-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion.
