NY commission says 11 to pay lobbying fines

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York's Joint Commission on Public Ethics says it's reached agreements with 11 entities to pay a total of more than $20,000 in fines to settle allegations they failed to file required lobbying disclosure reports.
    
The commission says entities that anticipate spending more than $5,000 lobbying in the state during the year, and which retain or designate a lobbyist, must file reports twice a year.
    
The 11 and their fines include Comverge Inc.,  $4,000; Atlantis Health Plan, $3,000; Brooklyn Investors LLC, $2,000; Titan Outdoor LLC, $2,500; Liquid Asphalt Distributors Association, $500; .
    
Others are The Leser Group, $2,500; Govdelivery, Inc., $2,500; Redflex Traffic Systems, $1,500; O'Connor Capital Partners, $2,500; McCarton Foundation, $1,000; and NYS Coalition Against Domestic Violence, $1,500.
    
The commission said Thursday that reports have since been filed.
