
RENSSELAER, N.Y. -- A water main break Thursday in the City of Rensselaer has a portion of Route 9 and 20 closed and boil water order for parts of the city.
The section of Route 9 and 20 is closed in both directions at Aiken Avenue. It is still closed, as of 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The break occurred just before 4 p.m.
Just after 9 p.m., the City issued a boil water order for the following parts: Along Route 9 and 20 from Route 9J to Broadway. That excludes the Port. Also under the order are Riverside Avenue north, South Street, and all adjacent side streets between Riverside and South.
The order will last for the next 24 to 48 hours from 9 p.m. Thursday.
