Rotterdam Police search for suspect of Dollar Tree robbery

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. - The Rotterdam Police Department is searching for the suspect of an armed robbery Tuesday night.

Police say around 8:45 p.m. the suspect entered the Dollar Tree store located at 70 W. Campbell Road in the BJ's Plaza. The suspect displayed a handgun, took cash from the register and fled on foot toward Putnam Road.

The suspect is described as a white male, average build, wearing cut-off jeans, a long sleeve gray thermal shirt, a navy blue ball cap and a white bandana over his face.

Rotterdam Police, with assistance from Schenectady Police, State Police and Schenectady County Sheriff's Department were unable to locate the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rotterdam Police Detectives at 355-7397.
