Cohoes man convicted for DWI, third alcohol related conviction

A Cohoes man has been sentenced to 1 2/3 to 5 years in State Prison for felony DWI. 33-year old Jeremy Cannaday also faces license revocation, mandatory Ignition Interlock Device for 3 years upon release from custody, as well as $1,520 in fines and surcharges. 

On May 10th, police say Cannaday attempted to exit the ramp on Route 378E to Route 32S in Cohoes, but failed to navigate the turn and drove onto the grassy area at the bottom of the ramp. He continued to drive through the median and adjoining street, and ultimately crashed into a fence and utility pole.  Cannaday was exiting the vehicle when police returned.arrival.  CANNADAY failed multiple field sobriety tests and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .23%. 

This is Cannaday's third alcohol related conviction, the prior two convictions were outside of Albany County.
