KINDERHOOK, N.Y. - State police say they have arrested an employee of a summer recreational program in the Town of Kinderhook for allegedly sexually assaulting a young girl who was attending the program.
Police say 20-year-old Malcom Gray, of Highland, is accused of sexually assaulting the 12-year-old girl who was attending the Town of Kinderhook summer rec program at the time. Police say Gray was employed by the Town of Kinderhook and working in his official capacity as a counselor for the recreational program.
The investigation is currently ongoing however it is believed that this is an isolated incident.
Gray has been charged with Criminal Sexual Act 1st-degree and Endangering the Welfare of Child. He has been remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
