SCHENECTADY, NY – A committee meeting on Monday night will discuss smoking bans in Schenectady.
Currently in Schenectady, there are restrictions on where you can smoke within parks and recreational areas.
However Schenectady health officials want to make it so that there is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking in playgrounds, municipal pools, public parks, and outdoor recreation areas.
Next Monday, August 13, at 7:00 p.m. there will be a public hearing to discuss the ban.
