Drunk driver crashes vehicle into ditch in Kinderhook

KINDERHOOK, NY – Kinderhook Troopers arrested a Chatham man for driving drunk after he drove his vehicle into a ditch on Sunday.

Troopers responded to the scene and found 45-year-old Louis Vanalstyne intoxicated by alcohol. Vanalstyne was taken into custody after he could not perform roadside sobriety tests. A breath test was also administered, which resulted in .15% blood alcohol content.

Vanalstyne was issued tickets returnable in the Town of Kinderhook Justice Court.
