MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont Supreme Court has ordered the release of previously sealed police documents in the investigation into the deaths of an Essex couple.
Bill Currier, 50, and his wife, 55-year-old Lorraine, were last seen June 8, 2011, leaving their jobs in Burlington. A relative reported them missing the next day. Their bodies haven't been found.
Last month, federal and state authorities said the Curriers were abducted and murdered by a random stranger. No suspect has been named.
The documents released Friday include search warrants and other details of the investigation.
Police and prosecutors fought against the release of the documents, saying that some information, if released, could hurt the case.
