
ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Five towns and villages hit hard by storms Irene and Lee last year are getting up to $50,000 each in state aid to help plan their continuing recovery.
The latest round of awards was announced Wednesday by Gov. Andrew Cuomo and will go toward things like crafting rebuilding plans and storm water management plans.
The recipients are the Town of Lexington ($50,000), the Town of Prattsville ($50,000), the Town of Windham ($50,000), the Village of Schoharie ($49,625) and the Village of Nichols ($28,750).
