ALBANY, NY - Gas prices have increased by more than nine cents
over the past two weeks, the first rise since April.
According to the Lundberg Survey, the national average for a
gallon of regular unleaded now stands at $3.51, but that is still 46 cents
below the April 6th peak of $3.97.
The price of Crude Oil, the largest single component of
gasoline, raised $3.00 a barrel on the New York futures market over the past two
weeks. Friday closed at more than $90.00 and helped drive prices at the pump
upward.
