Scotia Police arrest man for alleged sexual abuse with teen

SCOTIA, NY – Scotia Police arrested a man on Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.

Police say they received a sexual abuse complaint in early July about 39-year-old William Crewell Junior with an unidentified 14-year-old female.

After investigation, police charged Crewell with two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, two counts of Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree, two counts of Forcible Touching, two counts of Stalking 1st Degree, one count of Unlawful Imprisonment, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Crewell was arraigned and sent to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Scotia Village Court at a later date.
