Scotia Police arrest man for alleged sexual abuse with teen

SCOTIA, NY – Scotia Police arrested a man on Monday for allegedly sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.

Police say they received a sexual abuse complaint in early July about 39-year-old William Crewell Junior with an unidentified 14-year-old female.

After investigation, police charged Crewell with two counts of Sexual Abuse 1^st Degree, two counts of Sexual Abuse 3^rd Degree, two counts of Forcible Touching, two counts of Stalking 1^st Degree, one count of Unlawful Imprisonment, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Crewell was arraigned and sent to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Scotia Village Court at a later date.
