NY pension fund getting new investment officer

Posted:

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has named a new chief investment officer for the $150 billion pension fund for state and local government employees.

DiNapoli says Vicki Fuller's 30 years of investment experience will be beneficial in what he calls "these volatile economic times."

According to the comptroller's office, she will start Aug. 30 and earn $300,000.

The office used an outside firm to do a nationwide search to fill the job.

Fuller comes from the investment firm AllianceBernstein in New York. She holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.

She replaces Raudline Etienne, who left the comptroller's office last year for a post at Albright Stonebridge Group.

Marjorie Tsang, a longtime investment professional with the fund, is the interim chief investment officer.
