ALBANY, N.Y. - Two Glenville masters in the martial arts form "Judo" are headed to the
Olympics.
Judo is one of the most popular sports in the world, and Kyle
Vashkulat and Nick Depopolo are off to what they call the "Superbowl" of
Judo.
"This is a high up as you can get. This is it. The Olympics are the height
of why we do this sport," says Depopolo.
Vashkulat and Depopolo will go head to head in London with the best Judo
masters, or "Judokas," in the world. They say they are not nervous; they are
focused.
"I've done everything right. I've trained hard. I'm ready to go out there
and do it," says Vashkulat, who will compete on August 2nd. Depopolo will
compete July 31st.
The two left from Albany Airport Tuesday evening.
