ALBANY, N.Y. - Albany Mayor Jerry Jennings unveiled a street Tuesday named in the honor of a former Albany City Alderman.
A ceremony was held at the corner of Lark and Swan Streets Tuesday morning to rename part of the street after Nebraska Brace.
Brace was the first African-American to serve on Albany's Common Council and was a voice for his community helping to shape both the city and city leaders.
He passed away in May.
