ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York state officials say $300,000 in contracts have been awarded for seven flood control repair projects to start this summer.
The projects are part of the Cuomo administration's NY Works jobs program and will include surveying flood control project boundaries and the video inspection of pipes.
The flood work will be conducted in Amsterdam, Hoosick Falls and Herkimer as well as four places in Broome County: Johnson City, Lisle, Vestal, and Whitney Point. The Southern Tier County was hard hit by Tropical Storm Lee last year.
