ALBANY, NY – Philadelphia Eagles running back Dion Lewis was in Albany City Court on Monday to face a felony charge of falsely reporting a fire.

21-year-old Dion Lewis and his older brother, 35-year-old Lamar Lewis, are accused of pulling the fire alarm at the Hampton Inn on Chapel Street on July 8.

The brothers allegedly returned to the hotel after a night of drinking and were locked out, which lead them to pull the fire alarm.

Those charges were adjourned with contemplation of dismissal. According to Lewis' attorney, adjournment with contemplation of dismissal means that as long as Lewis does not get arrested or become involved with legal trouble in the next six months, this issue will officially be behind him forever.

Through surveillance video it was determined that the box protecting the alarm may have been affected, and the lever itself was never pulled.

Lewis declined to speak with NEWS10 following the court proceedings. However his attorney spoke with NEWS10.

His attorney explains, "No crime was committed, he's moving on, he's reporting to training camp. He's happy to be moving on with his life and going to training camp. This is his last appearance here in the criminal court system."
