PALATINE BRIDGE, NY - Two men were arrested for heroin
possession in Montgomery County on Sunday.
The Sheriff's Office was contacted about two suspicious
males in the Village of Palatine Bridge. The vehicle described was located and
stopped on Lafayette Street.
Police received probable cause to search the vehicle, and
with the assistance of a K9, discovered 13 bundles of heroin, money with drug
reside, and other drug paraphernalia.
The vehicle operator, 26-year-old Raymond Russell, of Oneonta,
was also down to be under the influence of drugs and charged with DWI. Russell
and 31-year-old Arthur Lynch, of Wintrop, were charged with Criminal Possession
of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, a Class B
Felony.
Russell and Lynch were arraigned and sent to Montgomery County
Sheriff's Office correctional facility for lack of bail set at $10,000 cash,
$20,000 bond.
