
PITTSFIELD, MA – A Pittsfield man was arrested after he threatened to kill himself with a gun in a cemetery.
Pittsfield Police say they were contacted by 27-year-old Andrew Apple's girlfriend at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday to help find Apple.
Police were able to locate Apple by his cellphone and discovered he was in Cheshire, a small town north of Pittsfield.
Apple was located in a cemetery threatening suicide with a gun. A negotiator talked to him on his cellphone and he put down the gun. Apple was arrested without incident. He was charged with Possession of Firearm without License to Carry, Possession of Ammunition without a License to Carry, and Larceny of Firearm, because the gun he had was stolen.
