MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Labor officials say Vermont's unemployment rate inched up a tenth of a percentage point last month to 4.7 percent.
The national rate for June remained at 8.2 percent.
Around the state, unemployment rates ranged from 3.4 percent in Hartford to 7.0 percent in Newport.
Labor commissioner Annie Noonan said Friday that the job growth last month did not overcome the seasonal factors such as school layoffs for the summer.
