Stolen golf medallion
GLENVILLE, NY – A Colonie man was arrested for stealing
property from a Glenville home after the victim found the stolen items for sale
on eBay.
Jason Dyer, 24, is accused of burglarizing a home located on
Virginia Blvd on July 4th.
Dyer allegedly broke into the home's garage and stole
approximately $3,000 worth of property, which included two 21 speed racing
bicycles.
The homeowner later located the bikes for sale on eBay. Investigation
revealed that the bikes were sold to a pawn shop located in the same
neighborhood as Dyer.
The owner of the pawn shop positively identified Dyer as the
seller of the bikes.
During investigation, Dyer was found to be in possession of
several other items believed to be stolen. The items included another bicycle,
army memorabilia, roller blades, and a small golf medallion.
Dyer was arrested and charged with one count of Burglary 3rd
Degree and one count of Grand Larceny 4th Degree, both Felonies. He was
arraigned in the Town of Glenville Court and remanded to the Schenectady County
Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or bail bond. He is scheduled to return on Tuesday.
Glenville Police ask residents in the Virginia Blvd area to
check their properties to see if they may have been a victim of Dyer. Anyone
