CATSKILL, N.Y. - The Greene County Sheriff's Office arrested a 23-year-old Catskill woman for an alleged home invasion burglary at a local inn.
Brittany Bryant was arrested after she supposedly kicked a hole through a door and smashed out a front window in order to enter a room at the Catskill Inn, located on Route 9W.
The female victim locked herself in the bathroom as Bryant entered the room and begin banging on the bathroom door threatening to kill the victim.
Bryant
eventually left the location and was located by police at an apartment complex
in the Town of Athens.
The Sheriff's Office says the motivation for the break-in was due to the
female victim allegedly calling Child Protective Services on Bryant several
times for mistreatment of a child.
Bryant is charged with Burglary 2nd-degree, two counts of Criminal Mischief 3rd-degree, and Menacing 2nd-degree and was remanded
to Greene County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond.
