WATERFORD, N.Y. - The Waterford Police Department has arrested a man they say was driving drunk when he struck two cars causing one of them to ignite.
Police say 37-year-old Leroy Willingham Jr, of 4th Street in Waterford, caused the accident which occurred on 4th Street when he hit two parked cars, igniting one of them, and then fleeing the scene.
Police say he fled the scene to his home where he was arrested after pretending to be asleep.
Willingham is charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated, for having a previous conviction in the past ten years, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Auto Accident.
