Fatal motor vehicle collision in VT


WARREN, VT - A Warren man died on Saturday after a single motor vehicle collision.

Vermont State Police received a report of the accident around 4:20 p.m. on Fuller Hill Road in Warren, VT.


Vermont State Police, Mad River Ambulance, and Warren Fire Department responded to the scene and located a 1995 Subaru Legacy partially in the roadway.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was later identified as 61-year-old Arnold Livingston.

Livingston was extricated from the vehicle by rescue personnel and transported to the Central Vermont Hospital. He suffered severe injuries and died as a result of those injuries shortly after arriving at the emergency department.

Initial investigation indicates that Livingston was traveling down Fuller Hill Road toward Warren Village when he lost control of his vehicle.

Livingston traveled off the left side of the roadway and collided with a tree.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.

It is not known at this time whether alcohol or speed played a role in this collision. Livingston was not wearing a seatbelt.

This incident is under investigation and State Police ask that anyone who may have had contact with Livingston on 07/14/12 contact Tpr. Schneider at 229-9191.
