TICONDEROGA, NY – Ticonderoga Police say a shooting suspect from Washington County is still at large on Monday after initiating the manhunt on Friday night.
Police say at 10:46 p.m. the suspect, identified as Jimmy Joe St. Andrews, from Putnam, shot one person outside 105 Montcalm Street in what police are calling a domestic violence incident. There were six people outside the residence when St. Andrews shot the victim three times.
The victim was shot once in each foot and once in the abdomen, a total of three wounds. The victim was transported to Albany Medical Center and is currently in stable condition.
Witnesses at the scene identified St. Andrews as the shooter and say he was last seen fleeing away on foot. Searches were initiated with assistance of an aviation unit and K9 teams from multiple agencies.
St. Andrews is a 45-year-old male from Putnam. He is described as being six feet tall, brown hair, brown eyes, and approximately 175 pounds. Police do not believe St. Andrews is a threat to the general public.
