SCHODACK, NY - The State Police in
Schodack arrested a 16-year-old girl after a reckless endangerment incident
inside a moving vehicle on Thursday.
Police say the teen grabbed and
turned the steering wheel of a pickup truck driven by her mother on Interstate
90 in the Town of East Greenbush.
The pickup truck swerved out of the
lane and onto the shoulder. However the mother was able to regain control of
the vehicle.
The teen also broke the windshield
and glove compartment door, and damaged the passenger door to the vehicle.
Police charged the teen with Reckless
Endangerment 1st and Criminal Mischief 3rd. She was arraigned in the
Town of East Greenbush and released on her own recognizance with the
stipulation that she reports to Rensselaer County Probation.
