WATERFORD, NY – Waterford Police say a man had his
11-year-old son with him when he was found with stolen railroad materials on Friday
night.
At about 11:30 p.m. a patrol officer located two individuals
on the railroad tracks near Washington and Mercer Street.
The officer found 32-year-old Mark Woods, of Waterford, in
possession of approximately 1,000 pounds of railroad tie plates and a four inch
piece of rail. Woods had his 11-year-old son with him at the time.
Woods was charged with Criminal Trespass, Petit Larceny,
Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
He was issued appearance tickets and scheduled to appear in Waterford Town
Court at a later date.
