GALLATIN, NY – New York State Police arrested three people for allegedly possessing a variety of drugs after a traffic stop in Gallatin.
Troopers stopped a vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway on Thursday evening for speeding. During the traffic stop, troopers allegedly noticed marijuana inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
Further investigation police say they revealed the vehicle also contained Cocaine, Ecstasy, Xanax, LSD, Hashish Oil, and Marijuana.
Driver of the vehicle 29-year-old Saverio Galasso, of Woodbury, was charged with two counts of Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, and a Speeding Violation.
Jacob Riesenberg, 19, of New Jersey, and Samantha Paston, 19, of Syosset, were each charged with two counts of Felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.
All three defendants were arraigned in the Town of Livingston Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
