
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The New York City Ballet opens the season at Saratoga Performing Arts Center Tuesday night.
Tuesday night's performance kicks off the company's two-week season at SPAC from July 10-21.
Highlights of the Saratoga season include Peter Martins' dramatic, full-length production of Romeo + Juliet; three performances of Balanchine's Firebird which will include performances by 16 local children; the World Premiere of a new ballet at the Gala by NYCB dancer Justin Peck and the revival of Balanchine's Symphony in C.
Evening ballet performances begin at 8 p.m., matinees at 2 p.m.
