MILTON, Vt. (AP) - Four drivers have escaped injury after their cars collided with a moose on Interstate 89 in Vermont.
State police said they got a 911 call from 56-year-old Lisa Whittemore of St. Albans early Monday saying she had just struck a moose on southbound I-89 in Milton.
She said she wasn't hurt and was able to pull off the road. However, the moose was still on the road. Police said shortly after that, three more cars hit the moose.
None of the vehicles collided with each other.
Police are reminding drivers to be especially careful when traveling at dawn and dusk, as these are the normal times for wildlife to be out and moving.
