ALBANY, N.Y. - Philadelphia Eagles running back Dion Lewis and his brother were arrested in Albany early Saturday morning, police say.
21-year-old Dion Lewis and his older brother, 35-year-old Lamar Lewis, were arrested around 4 a.m. after they were allegedly banging on the sliding glass doors of the Hampton Inn, on Chapel Street, nearly breaking the doors from their hinges. Police say they were staying at the hotel and were locked out.
According to the Hampton Inn, guests need a key to get in to the hotel after midnight.
According to police they were both intoxicated and allegedly pulled the fire alarm outside of the lobby, as well.
Both men were charged with falsely reporting a fire, a felony, and reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor. Dion Lewis was released after being arraigned in city court. Lamar Lewis is being held at Albany County Jail without bail. He has two prior felony arrests.
Dion Lewis was in town for a scheduled appearance Tuesday at the Troy Boys and Girls Club to speak with children and sign autographs at the summer camp. The appearance will likely be rescheduled for later this summer.
Dion Lewis attended Albany Academy until his junior year when he transferred to a private school in New Jersey.
