DUMMERSTON, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont State Police say a motorcyclist with a passenger was clocked going 101 mph on Interstate 91 in Dummerston.
Police say 56-year-old Scott Schifilliti of Shelton, Conn., was stopped on Thursday.
He faces charges of careless and negligent operation and excessive speed.
Police say the stop was part of the Summer HEAT program, which stands for High Enforcement Area Team consisting of state, local and sheriff department members working together to catch speeders to try to reduce motor vehicle collisions and fatalities.
