Free cab rides offered this 4th of July

ALBANY, N.Y. - This Fourth of July, the law firm Martin, Harding & Mazzotti would like to keep area roads safe by offering free cab rides to those in need of a safe ride home.

Free cab rides will be offered Wednesday from 8 p.m. until midnight to anyone in the Capital District, Saratoga, Utica, Amsterdam, NY areas, Springfield, MA and Burlington, VT in need of transportation.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has ranked the Fourth of July the deadliest holiday of the year from alcohol related crashes for the past 25 years and 51 percent of all deadly traffic crashes on July 4th are alcohol related.

By calling 1-800-LAW-1010 or dialing **529 on a mobile phone area residents will be connected with an operator that will coordinate a free ride from their location to their place of residence.
