Latham teen injured in car/pedestrian crash

MANCHESTER, Vt. - The Manchester Police Department in Vermont is investigating a car/pedestrian crash that occurred on Monday in which a 17-year-old Latham male was airlifted to Albany Medical Center.

Police say around 7:50 p.m. the victim was seen by witnesses on a skateboard traveling down Highland Avenue toward Depot Street when he failed to stop and collided into a moving vehicle traveling east on Depot Street.

The victim was initially unconscious at the scene, but regained consciousness when being transported to Southern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington and later airlifted to Albany Medical Center. The passengers of the vehicle were not injured.
