LIVINGSTON, N.Y. - One person was killed after a car crashed into the back of a three-wheeled motorcycle in Columbia County Monday.
Police say a husband and wife from Dover Plains, who have not yet been identified, were headed south on Route 82 attempting to turn onto Bells Pond Road when the accident occurred.
The driver of the vehicle struck the motorcycle from behind when they slowed to make the turn, ejecting both passengers.
The female passenger was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. The male driver of the motorcycle was taken to Saint Francis Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit was called to the scene and is investigating the collision.
