AVERILL PARK, N.Y. - An Averill Park man has been arrestedf for the third time in two weeks.
On Tuesday, state police say 25-year-old Thomas Sutliff has been arrested for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th and Criminal
Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
Sutliff was
previously arrested on June 14th after dropping his cell phone while
allegedly burglarizing a home in Northumberland. During the course of that investigation, a search warrant was executed on
Sutliff's truck and a women's gold Voorheesville High
School class ring was located in the vehicle.
The investigation revealed that ring was reported stolen by a Voorheesville woman
after she found her home had been burglarized on June 12th.
Investigators
also located methadone, a controlled substance, in his
vehicle.
Sutliff was arrested for the second time on June 19th for Grand Larceny 3rd for allegedly taking a $4,000 down
payment from a victim for work to be completed on a home, then never performing
the work and refused to return the money.
He was arraigned
in the Town of Schodack
Court and released on $5,000 bail.
Sutliff is a
self-employed contractor who is believed to have worked and traveled extensively
in the Capital Region. His vehicle is a gray 2004 Dodge Quad Cab pickup truck,
often equipped with ladder racks. He is known to travel the area and approach
homeowners soliciting work. Anyone with information is asked to contact the
